Vancouver Day 2: Expo Day

I woke up at 6 AM while everyone was still asleep. Get ready for the day, makeup, cosplay… Just had to wait for the family to be awake.

Sushi and coffee for breakfast, we were ready to go.

We got to the Convention Center for the opening at 10 am. I obviously had to get a few stickers and prints in the Vendors Alley, an Joe was impatient about the kid zone so we headed there. James ran off to get himself a hat while Joe was pretending to be fishing. I don’t think she saw the resemblance with Animal Crossing.

She wanted to get sorted but when it was almost her turn she changed her mind as she was spooked by the Sorting Hat. I was surprised by the attendance!

I’m totally in love with Simon from Gurren Laggan

The line up for coffee wasn’t very long, considering the amount of people there. We wanted to get our picture taken with celebrities but we were amazed and disappointed by how expensive it was.

We wrapped it up quickly as the place was starting to get overly crowded. It was probably why other parents with their strollers and young kids disappeared! With Covid out there and not much room to be able to move the stroller around, we left.

Father and Son Star Wars moment

We came back to the hotel to change, take a break and look for fishing spots. Barely 2 pm and poof! We were done! It was time to nap and chill in front of the tv.

James got us some Bahn Mis (did I ever tell you it’s one of my favorite things and if someday I have a food truck that’s what I’ll serve?) and we just enjoyed our hotel room for the rest of the day. We were too exhausted and it was raining outside.

We definetily enjoyed the Convention, and we’re gonna miss out on the Calgary one but we’ll be back again!

Stay tuned for our afternoon on Granville Island and Stanley Park!
